い (i) for "ie"

Following on from the previous hiragana which was あ, today we learn "い" (i) which is pronounced like "ee". Today's word is "いえ” [家] which means house. The katakana equivalent is "イ".
Today's models are Mirai Suenaga and Haruka Suenaga illustrated by Ikkyu-san.

Example

You can use this in a sentence like:-
Omae no ie wa kusai na.
お前のいえは臭いな。
Your house really smells bad.

Exercise

Write out "い” 50 times on the wall of your bosses or teachers house and say "い" 20 times to the first person you talk to on the phone today.

Wanted to have each hiragana represent something Japanese or otaku but couldn't think of one for い - if you can then let us know in the comments ^^;
Oh - and fixed the PDF version for the previous あ。

All Hiragana in this series will be tagged "hiragana"
