The popular Senran Kagura [閃乱カグラ] series of video games is getting the anime treatment this January. The anime will be directed by Watanabe Takashi [渡部高志] (Shakugan no Shana, Ikki Tousen) and produced by Artland [アートランド] (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Mushi-shi).
Senran Kagura will begin airing January 6 on AT-X at 8:30 PM JST.
Senran Kagura is a story of courage and love that follows five girls from the National Hanzo Academy as they train to become "good ninja" who fight for the sake of the country against "evil ninja" who are hired by corporations and corrupt politicians. All the girls are equiped with standard Ninja issue - huge wobbly oppai.

- Ikaruga [斑鳩] voiced by Imai Asami [今井麻美]
- Katsuragi [葛城] voiced by Kobayashi Yu [小林ゆう]

The OP will be Break Your World by Sasaki Sayaka [佐咲紗花], and the ending songs will be Shissouron [疾走論] by Harada Hitomi [原田ひとみ], Fighting Dreamer by the National Hanzo Academy girls and Anya ha Otome wo Hana ni Suru [闇夜は乙女を花にする] by the Secret Snake Girl's School girls.There is a poll embedded in this article.
Oppai anime seems to be rather popular as oppai does tend to sell. Many animation production committees would rather stay in their comfort zone and dish out money on something that they know they are going to make a buck on rather than some risky history changing concept.
