Located in the Shibuya ward in Tokyo is Meiji Jingu Shrine - surrounded by 700,000 square-meters of forest, the place is a great place to be especially in the Summer - the shade of the trees makes the place nice and cool!
One does not have to be religious to visit a shrine - if you love and appreciate Japanese traditional culture then do pop along to experience the tranquility.
Meiji Jingu is located just behind Harajuku station on the JR Yamanote line.
