Mirai Suenaga - she's got her own Figma, Nendoroid, Smart Doll, Touch N Go, Easy Card and even does work for the Japanese and Malaysian Government.
It was about time that Mirai got her own drink - introducing Mirai Ramune.
Ramune is Japanese carbonated lemonade which is sold in a distinctive bottle that has a glass marble inside - you may have seen it in Japanese drama or anime.
I've teamed up with a Japanese snack subscription service called TokyoTreat - Mirai Ramune will be delivered in one of the boxes in the near future.
This is the boss of TokyoTreat Ayumi-san - an extremely talented entrepreneur who I met up with recently.
Ayumi-san sent over some of their previous TokyoTreat boxes to our office which was instantly devoured by our staff members.
I was surprised at the volume of the boxes which start at 14.99 USD through to 34.99 USD per month.
What I really liked about them were the study boxes which I now use to keep Smart Doll production related knick knacks in.
Each of the boxes come with a small magazine with some editorial on Japanese culture and the snacks that are contained in the boxes.
For Japanese folks, this business model looks odd but from the bazillions of TokyoTreat subscribers, it looks like Ayumi has created a strong Startup which Mirai-chan will be collaborating with more in the future.
I know that it's relatively easy to get hold of (some) Japanese snacks in Asia but how about in other parts of the world? What is your fave Japanese snack?
